  • Priden Joy Vizslas had FUN at the VCA Nationals in Omaha, NE  October 2007

    • Reesa earned a Novice rally leg, taking second place in novice B
    • Rugby earned an Advance rally leg, taking 4th place in Advance B
    • Rugby earned an open std leg in agility, taking 1st place in 20” preferred
    • Rugby earned an excellent JWW leg in agility, taking 1st place in 20” preferred
    • Reesa took 4th in 8-10 year old veteran bitch sweeps
    • Ruthie competed honestly in the BOB competition, no recognition but we both had FUN

  • Robyn earned her MXJ title at the WAG agility trials in Illinois Sept 2007

  • Rugby earned his RN title at the MVVC specialty show in Ohio in June 2007.

  • We lost our Roxy in January this year. She was 15 years, 3 month old. Her last day with us was peaceful and uneventful. Roxy ran with the dogs in the back during the day, ate her dinner and slept quietly in her bed. Sometime in the night she quietly passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Her memory lives on in her puppies and grand puppies that remind us of her daily. A part of our hearts is buried with her.

  • Rolls took WD at the Racine Kennel Club shows in Aug for his first major. That brings his point tally to 5.

  • Vicky took WB/BOS for 2 points at the Kenosha Kennel Club shows in Sept for 2 points. This brings her point tally to 11. Amy and I have a goal of finishing her show championship before her next birthday (end of Dec!).

  • Ruthie finished her JH title at the CWVC hunt tests over Labor Day weekend. What fun she had both at the CWVC and VCOI hunt tests. 3 fun filled days of hunting! This little girl is in serious need of a hunting trainer as she is a bird finding machine! I never actually thought I would be doing this but I am looking for a trainer to help us get to the next level- Senior Hunter! She loves to hunt and I'm going to try to help her learn how to do it with finess!
  • Rolls took WD back to back June 3 & 4th at the Lake County Fairgrounds shows.  Now that he is starting to fill in, he's quite a handsome fellow! He grew to full height of 25" by 9 months old. He was all legs and is first now filling in. Rolls took reserve WD at the DeKalb show July 9th. All shows owner/handled by Joy. picture to come

  • Vicky took WB/BOW at the DeKalb show July 9th under breeder/judge Cheryl Peterson, handled for Amy by Joy. picture to come

  • Robyn earned her AX title at the WAG Agility trial July 16th taking 4th place in the very competitive 20" excellent A class. Robyn was handled quite smoothly by Bill. Robyn also earned an ex JWW leg that same weekend. She's well on her way to MX/MXJ and dreams of being our first MACH dog!

  • Ruthie earned 2 novice JWW legs and 1 novice standard leg at the WAG agility trials July 15 & 16. She has some "training opportunities" like learning to "sit" on the table and how to do weaves with an audience! She really wanted to go kiss the barsetter but was finally convinced to do the last weave pole and finish the course! Even with the distractions, she earned two 1st place ribbons for her antics! She really enjoyed the celebration with Mom after the run!

  • Ruthie earned 2 qualifying JH legs at the CWVC hunt test in May. Us being "city folks",  there was little if any bird training done to prepare her for this test. Her getting 8's across the board on Sat and 9's across the board on Sun were a definite kudo to her pedigree of strong hunting dogs. We will try for the last two legs in the early fall. She's a hunting machine, well... after she got over her amazement at the BIG dog that walked beside her. It was the first time she ever saw a horse! Joy handled her both days and almost went deaf when she forgot how loud a blank pistol is and that you should aim it up, not level with your ear!
  • December 2005: Ruthie finished the last point she needed to make her up to a champion at the Christmas Cluster of dog shows. She can now be called Ch UAgI Priden Joy Lady Foxworth. Ruthie finished with 4 majors to her credit at just 19 months young. With Ruthie's championship, this makes 3 finished champions for Momma Reesa in 2005. Robyn and Hunter are out of Reesa and Ralph and Ruthie is out of Reesa and Fox. What a terrific present for us as breeders. These are all wonderful representatives of the breed and we are so proud of them all.
  • December 2005: Robyn earned her final AGIII leg in UKC agility to earn her an UACHx title. Robyn can now claim to be Ch UACHx Priden Joy Lady Byrd OA, AXJ.
  • November 2005: Ruthie tried her hand (paws) at AKC agility and failed miserably! Seems she would much rather scout out the crowd for a chicken sandwich than pay attention to Mom, who she found out does not run competition agility with any food on her person. She even jumped up onto the timer and gave her a quick kiss before doing the next obstacle in sequence. Seems the timer looked like she needed some Vizsla lovin'!
  • October 2005: Ruthie finished in 3 trys her UKC AgI agility title.
  • September 2005: Hunter took WD at the Kenosha Kennel Club dog shows for his 4th major and the last points needed to make him a show champion. This makes Hunter: Ch Priden Joy Royal Sure Shot.
  • August 2005: Robyn took WB at the Waukesha Kennel Club dog shows for her last 3 point major. Finishing in 90+ degree heat, she is now a show champion. The following day, not to be out done, Ruthie took WB and a major too.
  • The newest addition to our family is Rolls: Priden Joy Rolls Royce. Roll is out of Raye x Ike. We grew so attached to this wonderful puppy that no one who called looking for a puppy could meet our high standards for him. He had the potential to do great things! We decided we just had to keep him. Rolls has a very playful disposition and is very easy to live with. He is going to be a big, handsome boy, just like his father and grandfather. Bill is already working with him in puppy agility and having a lot of fun. Rolls is extrememly responsive and willing to try anything. He takes direction and training very easily plus he's quite handsome. Rolls will start showing in conformation in 2006.
  • Robyn earned Winners Bitch with a 4 point major on Sat 7/30 at the Waukesha
Kennel Club dog show to finish her championship. She is now Ch U-ACH Priden
Joy Lady Bryd OA, AXJ. Robyn was proudly breeder/owner/handled by Joy. (personal
note... having judge Norm Kenney give me a bear hug when he awarded our ribbon
made me gaciously walk away with tears streaming down my cheek.)

What could top that... well on Sunday 7/31 we moved Robyn up and Ruthie in the
classes for the second day of the Waukesha Kennel club dog shows. Ruthie must
have known how happy I was on Sat so she "strutted her stuff" and was amazingly
easy to handle. She took 1st in the bred-by-exhibitor class and then went on
to take WB. WOW another 4 point major! I handed Ruthie off to Bill and took
Robyn in as a special. Bill being a conformation newbie was given a crash handling
course Saturday before coming to the shows, just in case I needed him to help
me. He tried to remember all the fine points I told him about. I watched him
from inside the ring and was very impressed with him and Ruthie as a team. Much
to Bill's suprise, the judge asked him to come to the front of a very large
specials class and earned BOW. He almost didn't stick around for the ribbon!
I forgot that piece in the crash training! Ruthie now has 9 points with both
of her majors taken care of and she's only 14 months old.

  • 6/12 Gracie (Priden Joy Princess Grace SH VC) earned her Senior Hunter title in 2 consecutive weekends of hunt tests in Ohio. Her owner Adam Barton commented that sweltering heat and less than ideal scenting conditions didn't stop Gracie from hunting with grace and style. Congratulations Adam and Gracie on this wonderful accomplishment! Reesa and Ralph give you two paws up!

  • 6/11 Vicky got her first agility Q's outside in 95 degree weather at the Fundog NADAC trial. Vicky got a novice regular leg & a novice gamblers leg w/a 4th place! This is pretty amazing seeing as Vicky has been with Amy only since the end of December. These 2 have been thru a lot and they are obviously great for one another. Congratulations Amy & Vicky!

  • 6/4 Ruthie (Priden Joy Lady Foxworth) took Winners Bitch/Best of Winners at
the Fox River Valley Kennel Club show in Woodstock for a 3 point major. Her
win came from the Bred-by-exhibitor class. Very proudly shown by Joy.

  • 6/12 Ruthie took WB/BOW and Best of Opposite Sex for another 2 points at the
Wheaton Kennel Club shows. Ruthie is having fun "strutting her stuff!"

  • 3/24/05 Raye was bred to Ike. We traveled down to Lafayette Louisiana to meet up with this southern gentleman. Ike is a very handsome fellow, with distinguished bearing, celebrating his 11th birthday on 3/29. Ike's owners Adele and Eddie Neupert welcomed us with gracious southern hospitality. We hope to have puppies with grace, beauty, substance and ability from this line breeding. Click here for more information.

  • 3/05 Rugby and Reesa went to Louisville to compete in agility. Rugby earned an OA leg and an AXJ leg. He should have earned a second AXJ leg, but he was 6 seconds over time and he could only be 5 seconds over. We have to speed him up thru the weaves and shorten his turning radius. When he listens, he is very, very accurate!  Reesa on the other hand didn't qualify at all but had some excellent runs. One of her standard runs was absolutely flawless, except she went right past the table to kiss the judge before going up onto the table. She's such a  Vizsla, demonstratively affectionate! That caused us a refusal for the table! I couldn't help but laugh! It was the prettiest NQ of the weekend!

  • 2/05 Rugby earned 3 of the necessary 5 legs needed for his UKC-ACHx at WAG. He earned them at WAG qualifying 3/4 try's. Good boy!

  • 1/05 What a surprise! We received both Rugby and RobynUKC UACH certificates in the mail. We thought Rugby still needed 3 points, but obviously we miss calculated!

  • 1/1/05 Robyn earned her AXJ title in 3 straight passes finishing on New Years Day, Happy New Year!  Rugby earned an AXJ leg with a perfect score, with Joy running almost completely silent. this helped to keep his attention on her rather than the bar setters, observers, judge, etc, etc.

  • Rugby also earned 4 qualifying UKC agility runs at WAG 12/4 & 12/5. He is just
3 points shy of his ACH. Rugby's AKC runs in Merrilleville were nothing memorable. He got a couple of refusals by going right past a few obstacles looking at the people behind the half-glass partition in the soccor field. I guess he just couldn't quite figure out why the people had no legs (they were behind wood up to about the waist and then plexiglass). Anyone running a dog for the first time in an indoor soccor field with plexiglass walls should realize how odd
this must seem to a dog. I just wonder what they must think???? He will get
to run there again over New Year's weekend. Hopefully he will know that the
half walls are no big deal and the people are all ok.

  • Robyn has been quite busy and quite happy these last couple of weeks doing agility. She finished her AKC OAJ (open jumpers) title 11/27 in Merrilville,Indianna working superbly with Bill. They look like they are dancing together out there! The next day she earned an excellent jumpers leg with a flawless run and taking 3rd place in 20" class, the class with all the Border Collies! The following weekend, we swithced gears and Robyn ran 4 flawless runs and finished her UKC ACH (agility champion) title 12/5 at WAG with Dad-Bill as her "dance" partner. They really do work wonderfully as a team. A couple of weeks earlier, Robyn told an animal communicator that she thinks she's very, very good at agility and wants to work on stairs and hills to build her muscles and endurance. Anyone who has seen Robyn, knows that she is muscled beyond belief! She takes her agility training very seriously!

  • Rugby (Ch AGII Priden Joy Lord of the Rings OAJ) earned his open agility jumpers (OAJ) title at the K-9 agility trial Sept 26th with a 4th place, handled by
Joy. Way to go  "Buggy"! ((Ok, his nickname is "Bug" or "Buggy" because he will hunt or point anything with wings! As a puppy he was on point a full 10 minutes on a dead fly!)) ...We also won a raffle item which was a Harley Davidson jacket for dogs so a picture of Rugby will be forthcoming in the black "leather" bomber Harley jacket, looking quite buff!

  • Raye (Ch ATCHx Priden Joy Raye of Daybreak OA, NAJ) earned her open agility-standard (OA) title at the K-9 agility trial on 9/25. She and Bill were totally accurate!

  • Gracie (Priden Joy Princess Grace JH, VC) earned a Vesatility certificate at
the Miami Valley Vizsla Club evaluation this summer. Her owners Adam and Darlene are very, very proud of their little girl and her achievement and so are we!

  • Introducing the newest addition the Priden Joy household of dogs: Priden Joy Lady Foxworth, call name Ruthie. Ruthie is a little sweetheart of a puppy from the Reesa/Fox breeding; structurally sound, sweet temperament and medium independence with a nose that just doesn't quit. Big brother Rugby thinks she's the best playmate a guy could have!

  • Raye: Earned her UKC Agility Champion Excellent (U-ACHX) title on Sat 7/3 at the WAG agility trial. Raye scored 2 perfect 200 runs and first places for her AGIII runs. Steady and sure that's our Raye. Bill did an awesome job handling her! They make a really smooth team.

  • Rugby: Pulled in 26 more points toward his UKC ACH title by going 2x 199 in AgI and 198 and 200 in AgII runs at the WAG trial 7/3. Way to go-Rugby!

  • Robyn: Earned 12 more points toward her UKC ACH title at the WAG trial 7/3. Robyn had a few oops and Bill had a few oops which cost her any points in her AgII runs.

  • Reesa: born May 8th were 8 beautiful girls from Reesa and Fox. Unbelievably, an entire litter of 8 girls! Each one is more beautiful than the next, hence the theme of "precious gems!" All are very vigorous and thriving. Look for weekly updates on these beauties under "puppies".

  • Robyn (Priden Joy Lady Byrd) was awarded WB/BOW both Sat 4/2 and Sun  4/3 at the Yorkville Kennel Club in DeKalb. Sunday Judge Dorothy MacDonald also awarded Robyn BOS over a special. This was a very nice win for Robyn and Joy, standing behind Daddy Ralph who won BOB both days.

  • Robyn (Priden Joy Lady Byrd) earned a qualifying leg in novice jumpers (2nd place) and a qualifying leg in open jumpers (4th place) also at the agility trials in Louisville KY, 3/12-14/2004.

  • Rugby (Priden Joy Lord of the Rings) earned a qualifying leg in novice standard and a qualifying leg in open jumpers (3rd place) at the agility trials in Louisville KY, 3/12-14/ 2004. The agility trials in Louisville are in held doors in an arena on a thick dirt surface. This is a great running surface for both dogs and handlers.

  • Raye (Priden Joy Raye of Daybreak) took WB/BOW for a 3 point major at the Cudahy Kennel Club show 3/1/2003. Joy showed Raye. This was a very nice win because this was the final major needed for Raye to finish her championship. We are very proud of our girl and thankful that her breeder, Sue Prim was able to be there to see her finish and share in the celebration.

  • Hunter (Priden Joy Royal Sure Shot) took WD at the Cudahy Kennel Club show 3/1/2003 for a 3 point major. Breeder Joy showed Hunter. This brings Hunter’s total points to 9, with both majors out of the way.
