There have been many changes for the gems... they have gone to their forever homes. All were picked up by their owners on the 4th of July weekend. A kind of independence day for each of them. Between 7 and 8 weeks old we assessed their temperaments, finding that they are all very stable and accepting. Some were bolder than their sisters and some were very playful with a stranger/tester. Then we did a structure test, at 8 weeks old, also known as the Hastings Puppy Puzzle. This was very telling for us a breeders to understand the strengths and weakness of each puppy and in general for our lines. We had to choose which puppy would go with what family based on the outcome of these tests. It's like completing a very intricate puzzle with very fine differences in the pieces. I hope we've made good choices for the families they are now a part of. Most families said that our choice was their choice as well. Here are pictures as best we could get of each one of the Gems in a beautiful stack pose. We wish them all a very happy life with lots of things to enjoy. We hope all the families will keep us ever in their thoughts and know we are never more than a mouse click away!
